Lauren & Charlie - Dorton House, Aylesbury Wedding Photography

"Florence is a talented photographer and generally lovely person! She made us feel at ease during our pre-wedding shoot and captured the atmosphere on the day perfectly. She goes above and beyond to get the perfect shot and pretty much fell into a bush snapping away at us!"

Lauren & Charlie, July 2016

I love this review from Lauren because it highlights the fact that I am often falling into bushes / falling off walls / stopping traffic in the road / getting muddy knees in the quest to give the best I can to my couples. I have as yet come away fairly unscathed though!

These guys celebrated their marriage at Dorton House in Aylesbury are chosen for a beautiful church ceremony followed by a reception in the school house next door. Although it was pretty drizzly for most of the morning we nipped out after dinner when the heavens closed for a bit and had a lovely little walk around the grounds.

I'm trying to be more select in my blog posts and show just the work I LOVE which means less images telling the story of the day but snap shot moments that I think personally display the documentary aspect of my work that I love. Scroll right down the bottom to see their video highlights film too!

That said I totally adore the photograph this photograph below - less documentary and more arty but I do love a bit of that! When it's rainy outside you really have to put on your creative thinking hat and make the indoors work for you, even when you're pushing your comfort zone for natural light and interesting backgrounds. I love the reflections, and the silhouette and even though it's not my "usual" work I am always interested in creating something a little different in addition to my favourite outdoor-smiley-happy-sunny-in-a-field shots.
